Fuel Sense

Depot fuel, accounted for

Fuel Sense connects your tanks, probes and dispenser units to the Cognitio portal so every delivery, dispense and transfer is recorded as it happens and reconciled against what is actually in the tank.

On-site hardware

  • Fuel Sense dispenser units control who can draw fuel, for which vehicle, and how much.
  • Tank probes report levels continuously; fills are detected automatically.
  • Fuel Sense 2 units keep working offline and sync when the connection returns.

In the portal

  • Fills, dispenses and transfers per depot, tank, vehicle and operator.
  • Daily reconciliation that flags variances between book stock and measured stock.
  • Alerts for low levels, unusual consumption and probe faults.

Mobile app

  • Log fills, dispenses and transfers on site, with or without signal.
  • Record on-road refuels with the location they happened at.
  • Attach slip and meter photos as proof.

Fleet Sense

The vehicles that burn the fuel

Fleet Sense brings Teltonika telematics into the same portal: live positions, trips and vehicle data alongside the fuel each vehicle drew, so consumption questions get answered from one screen.

  • Odometer and engine data from the tracker, matched to dispenses.

One platform

  • Multi-company, role-based access; each company sees only its own data.
  • Hosted on Amazon Web Services in Cape Town.

Cognitio Systems is the fuel and fleet management platform built and operated by Carrus Information Technology (Pty) Ltd, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We supply the on-site hardware, run the platform, and support the people who use it every day.
